Last Saturday was our second reunion at K9 Fun Zone in Seattle. Our girls have had 5 litters so far (1 litter of mini goldendoodles, 1 litter of mini labradoodles and 3 litters of mini double doodles) but only 4 litters are old enough to have all of their shots to join us which means we had 21 puppies invited. Unfortunately 1 family moved to South Carolina which is a pretty big commute so 20 potential pups could join us on a rainy Saturday. I’m so happy to say that we had 14 that were able to make it! I realize that making time on the middle of a Saturday for an event for your DOG in the middle of the holiday season is a lot to ask of people so I don’t think I can adequately put in to words how good my heart felt to see those 14 families. How awesome!!! I really love my families and appreciate how much love they give they give to my grandbabies.
Our reunion was 1-3pm. We had a ton of pizza for the humans and I made way too much delicious cheesecake (my grandmother’s recipe, ask me for it – it really is THE BEST!!). The dogs had cupcakes made by Dorothy from The Dining Dog in Edmonds which is a great place! Dorothy is an awesome lady; I purchased cupcakes from her last time and they were a hit so I did it again. We got the pot roast cupcakes and the peanut butter and bacon. I also paid my groomer Dava from Dava’s Doggy Spa to trim nails and get the hair out of puppy’s eyes as well as demo this great dematting tool and she seemed to be a huge hit! Randi, the owner of Natural Pet Pantry came out to talk to families about feeding raw. Randi has two stores in the area but they also deliver – she’s a wonderful resource for information for feeding raw and one of the things I absolutely ADORE about her is that while (of course) she would love for you to come to her store and support her local business the most important thing for her is that you do the best thing for you dog. AMAZING!!! Love this lady! All three of these female owned businesses are phenomenal so if you can, please check them out – and wow, I just now realized I they were all women owned. AWESOME!!!
Beyonce and Shakira gave out bags of 100% salmon treats from Cat-man-doo (a local company here in the Seattle area) as well as gift cards to goodies from BarkBox.
Our friend Whitney, previously mentioned, she has come over and cuddled every single puppy we have had for hours, asked if she could play Santa Claus and her husband Tyler took pictures so here are the pups with Santa:
It was a great day and I’m looking forward to the next reunion in 2016!
